We was initially very impressed with the Blanchon SD Aqua, Which is supposedly a 2 coat system, we always applied 3 coats as 2 coats just can never be enough especially on softwood floors, the drying time between coats were slightly too long for us to really appreciate its quality. Initial was released as a 3 coat system, with shorter drying times between coats and the same great build as 3 coats of SD aqua.

Matt - Satin

Great quality and a really good price for what you get, 100% Poly doesn't come cheap.

This French Varnish is my tip for the top, The satin version is a little on the glossy side and could do with a slight adjustment on the chemistry, More like a 'Mega' Gloss sheen, but the matt is gorgeous and mix a little satin with that and you get a really nice satin coat. Very easy to apply
