cracked up to be
Have you seen the ads, look on
the right hand side of the google search results (adwords)
It seems to be that you can now get your floor sanded in the
UK for £12 per m2, Wow thats a bargain, but hold on,
is it. If your not worried what your lovely floor looks like
as long as it has 3 coats of cheap arcryllic varnish on it
then go ahead book them in.
I don't think im actually allowed
to name the person, firm or firms as it seems to be, responsible
for this, But im sure i can tell you that they run from a
serviced office on an 0845 number and have i think 8 web sites
to date, all but one of the sites are built with an online
'build your own pro website package' the terrible grammar
gives the game away and plus they all seem to have somewhere
on the sites a picture of our bogus tradesman pushing a belt
sanding machine 'Hummel' and the same 0845 number, i've even
seen one that also advertises floor sanding training, my god
the damn right cheek of him, he needs an intense course in
floor sanding desperately himself.
Today on my bank holiday i've
been busy down in Hampstead putting right his work again,
After starting the job two weeks ago and then dissapearing
for 10 days our bogus sander come back to put the icing on
the cake and ruined yet another floor, the customer sent him
away after he made a complete mess of staining an ill prepared
floor. I was called last week when the floor had been left
unfinished with the occupance not knowing what was going on,
I priced to put the floor right, but unknowingly the bogus
guy returned with the key the unknowingly customer had given
him and made a real mess of things, the customer returned
and quickly sent him packing. I had to charge extra to totally
resand the badly stained floor to the customers dismay.
Remember if you pay less it usually
meens your getting less, In this case you get nothing but
hassles and a larger bill to put things right, so be warned,
they advertise on google adwords amongst all the bonefied
professionals, They will not be given the chance to advertise
or post anything on this website as we have them truly sussed.
